Design Portfolio
Website Design

Working with a group of midwives and midwifery activists, I created the Homebirth-USA website (Summer 2008, pro bono). I was responsible for information architecture, initial content development, visual design, and coding.

As I organized a symposium, Perinatal, I designed and coded a website to support the event (Summer 2009, independent project). The design was coordinated to match marketing materials developed by Kris Sullens.
License Plate Design

Working with the lawyers of Gura & Possessky, I strategized a new web presence, restructuring and redesigning the website, rewriting content, and coding the new website (Winter 2007, freelance).

Before I began my graduate work, I served as art director for AARP.org (1999-2005). For the project shown, I was responsible for taking the design recommendations presented by an outside vendor and working with our internal information architecture, visual design, and technical staff to polish the design to better serve our clients and users.

I served as art director and information architect for this AARP website, which brought together six previously separate professional resources into one browsable and searchable online database.
